How to Build Your First Team

TatariHub · Published 12 Aug 2026 · Updated 19 Aug 2026 · Version 1.2

A starter shell that survives Chapter 1-8 without rerolling: 1 healer, 1 front, 2 DPS, 1 flex.

A stalled early account is almost always a role problem, not a luck problem.

The first shell

Aim for this job list, not a perfect 5-name wishlist:

  • **Healer** — Buddi if you have it, otherwise Clucky → Cluckeroo.
  • **Frontline** — Zapup → Zapooch, Shellshy → Boldclaw, or Pyropup.
  • **Main DPS** — one of Frostnip, Voltfawn, Punchimp, or Frugling.
  • **Off-element DPS** — cover the element your carry loses to.
  • **Flex** — Dewgrub for control, Goonbug for wave tempo, Cheerling if you missed Buddi.
  • Placement

Put tanks and guardians in the front row. Healers and backrow DPS sit behind a body that can eat the first Zobo wave. If the front collapses before your carry finishes a rotation, you do not need more attack — you need a thicker lane.

    What not to do

Do not spread Candy across eight T1 bodies. Pick one carry line and one sustain line, then feed those. Sparkrow, Mudrump, and Solpear are fine until the first real carry arrives; they are not long-term projects.

    Recommended beginner team

  • Zapooch
  • Cluckeroo
  • Frostnip
  • Frugling
  • Dewgrub
  • That group covers Lightning/Grass/Water, has Slow, and still functions if one slot is a weaker starter.
